Proudly Announcing: ADRC-TAE Online Readiness Assessment Tool!

The ADRC-TAE Online Readiness Assessment Tool was designed by The Lewin Group to assist organizations in evaluating their readiness to perform the key functions of Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs). The Tool provides immediate feedback regarding organizational capacity to perform key functions and links to online resources that describe program characteristics, operations and capacity required of ADRCs. Try it now!

If you are unable to complete the online version of the tool, you may also access a Print and Score version of the Readiness Assessment in PDF. The Print and Score version is similar to the online tool but it does not offer the same level of customized feedback.

Also available are a list of the Readiness Assessment Survey Questions in PDF or Word. These lists are not able to be scored and also will not provide the feedback and specific recommendations available in the web-based tool.

What is the Aging and Disability Resource Center Grant Program?
The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) grant program is intended to stimulate the development of state systems that integrate information and referral, benefits and options counseling services as well as facilitating access to publicly and privately financed long-term supports and benefits. The forty-three ADRC projects awarded in 2003, 2004, and 2005 serve older adults and individuals with disabilities.

As of 2008, there were over 140 Aging and Disability Resource Center pilot sites operating in 43 states and territories. The program is jointly sponsored by the federal Administration on Aging (AoA) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), both part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Aging and Disability Resource Centers are also a part of the President's Long Term Care Re-balancing Initiative and New Freedom Initiative.
